Key Responsibilities

• Hydropower Engineer

  • Design, analysis and optimization of penstock, intake, powerhouse and tailrace systems

  • Perform hydraulic, structural and electrical load calculations

  • Liaise with stakeholders and regulatory bodies for permitting and approvals

  • Oversee installation, testing & commissioning phases

• Site Overseer

  • Supervise day-to-day site activities ensuring safety & quality standards

  • Coordinate subcontractors, labor and equipment allocation

  • Maintain project schedules and progress reports

  • Enforce HSE policies and conduct toolbox talks

• Surveyor

  • Carry out topographic, geodetic and alignment surveys for civil works

  • Set out control points, benchmark establishment and leveling

  • Process field data into CAD/ GIS formats for design teams

  • Verify as-built dimensions and document deviations

• Construction Manager

  • Lead overall project execution: planning, budgeting and resource management

  • Develop and track project timelines (Gantt charts, milestones)

  • Manage procurement, logistics and on-site stock levels

  • Report to senior management on cost, schedule and risk

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Surveying

• Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant experience on hydropower or heavy-civil projects

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, GIS and survey instruments

• Strong knowledge of Nepal’s engineering codes, standards and HSE regulations

• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills

• Valid driving license and willingness to travel to remote sites
